Croque Monsieur Pancake

Ingredient Serving for two

Pancake 80g x 4pcs

Yotsuba Buttermilk Pancake Mix 150g
Egg (M size) 1pcs
Hokkaido Yotsuba Milk 100ml
Salad oil 13g

Bacon Sauté

Slice bacon 4slices
Black pepper moderate amount

Others

White Sauce ( Alternatively you can use cream stew) moderate amount
White pepper moderate amount
Cheese ( Yotsuba「Hokkaido Tokachi 100」 3 kind of cheese) moderate amount
Parsley moderate amount

Recipe

Make Pancake

1. Mix egg and hokkaido yotsuba milk in a bowl.
2. Add in yotsuba buttermilk pancake mix, mix well until no lump.
3. Last add in salad oil, whisk it until completely even.
4. Rest the batter for about 5mins.
5. Pour in some salad oil into pre-heated frying pan.Place the frying pan on a wet cloth and cool it down a little.
* If you are using hotplate, preheat it with low heat (150℃), start bake only after the temperature
started to become stable.
6. Pour 1/4 of your batter into frying pan. (After 2~2.5mins) You shall see big bubble forming.
Flip the pancake and cook for another 1min.
7. Prepare all 4pieces of pancake.

Saute the bacon

1. Cut the slice bacon into half.
2. Sauté in frying pan and seasoning with black pepper.

Serve

1. Spread white sauce on a piece of pancake from and sprinkle with some white pepper. Put 2slices of bacon on the pancake.
2. Coat another piece of pancake from with white sauce and scattered cheese on top of pancake.
3. Arrange Step1 and Step2 on aluminum foil and bake for about 7mins with a 500W toaster.
4. Stack 2pieces together and bake for another 5mins.
5. Garnishing with parsley.
6. Repeat for the balance 2pieces.
