Yotsuba Q&A

Can yoghurt be eaten warm?
Generally, the lactic acid bacteria and bifidobacterium in yoghurt will be killed when heat of 50 degrees or higher is applied. This eliminates the intestinal regulation effect of these live bacteria, but does not change the nutritional value.

In addition, a lots of reports showed heat-killed lactic acid bacteria still remains its health benefits such as immunomodulatory effects.
Please try using yoghurt to suit your cooking needs.
