How long can butter be kept once the package has been opened? The surface of my butter has become darker yellow, is it still all right?
After prolonged refrigerator storage, the surface of the butter may turn darker yellow in colour. This occurs when moisture from the surface of the butter evaporates, causing the milk fat, which contains yellow pigmentation, to become more visible. This does not affect quality, but nonetheless, we recommend to consume butter as quickly as possible after opening.

To best maintain the butter’s original flavour and texture, please keep it out of light, and store in a sealed container.
